very cool, back in the late 40s My Dad carved his name in the top corner of one of these desks, years later while we were visiting his home in Bedford Indiana His Brother had pulled that desk out of a pile of desks to be taken to the junk yard, I have it now and well pass it on to my Kids, thanks for this photo it will give my grand kids an Idea of how these desks worked
