We move in one direction,
And, it's right, for what it's worth,
And Life can be so simple
when where we're going seems set forth
But the floor can fall below us
In the darkness, as we set our feet.
And we're searching for that missing step
In the strangers that we meet
Tread cautiously, walk forward
Look where we're going more than where we've been
Because what lays out, here, before us
Can't be compared to what we've seen
They'll be baby steps, at moments,
and pigeon toes at times.
They bring motion to the movements
and the rhythm to the rhymes.
So I sit here, waiting for you
My own company I've kept
And I want for your hand only
and the walk ahead, in step
The response is in my gait.
A harmony in footsteps
Joy left in our wake
