Stepping outside my front door I was greeted by the crisp cool morning air, whipping at my ears and swirling around my shoulders. I quickly became mesmerised by the early morning glow of the almost full moon.
The ebb and flow of the morning clouds allowed the moon to play 'Peek a Boo' with me. The moon shyly covering itself, before exposing its face again for all to see. I could hardly tear my gaze away form her beauty.
Today I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy another early morning. With my favourite mug in hand, I enjoyed my morning ritual of having my first cup of tea for the day, out on our front verandah. Enjoying its deep sweet taste, as the hot liquid warmed my body, and the world around me started to rise and shine.
For sure the best part of the day if you can be awake enough to enjoy it. You depict an enviable scene and capture the moon in out of hiding in the mood you describe.
Beautiful capture- I went out in the early AM to take a moon shot as well- but it was before I went to bed, not after sleeping in it. And I was listening to millions of crickets and katydids while I captured my moon shot. Love your writing!
