The Map Room by khawbecker

The Map Room

The library at the U.S. Department of the Interior has a fascinating map room that is at the top of a flight of stairs in a room that is open to and overlooks the main reading room. It still has its original 1930s look.
You get to see some really neat things!

I like the POV.

I love books, so this photo makes me happy just for the subject, but I also really love the way you framed it. I feel like I'm in that room and that is the POV I would actually see. Nicely done!

Lovely lines and colours in this capture, I love maps myself and therefore would enjoy your map room.

@tjchapa Thanks, Julie. I've lived and worked in the DC area for many years, but I try not to take the historic sites for granted. This photo project is helping me see places I see regularly anew.
