Lincoln Blues by khawbecker

Lincoln Blues

I collect books about Abraham Lincoln. I now have four shelves of Lincoln books. And yet, my books represent less than 1% of the more than 16,000 books written about Lincoln.
That's an incredible statistic - that you have so many and yet they are not even 1%! Wow. Nice shot, I love seeing other people's bookshelves!

Nice photo dedicated to your devotion to Lincoln. Is that a Lincoln snow globe in the lower right?

@rytoonz Thanks, Bob. Ha! No, it is a paperweight with blue fish that appear to be interested in reading the Lincoln books too. ;)

@carolyns Thanks, Carolyn. Because of working in D.C., I've been lucky enough to attend many events featuring current Lincoln authors.

Wow, that's a lot of Lincoln books! I love the selective coloring. Blue seems appropriate.

Reminiscent of the stack of Lincoln books at Ford's Theater. Who could resist a nice picture of a loaded bookshelf? ;-)

@lauriehiggins Thanks, Laurie. I agree. Blue is best for Lincoln.

@davydo And especially on a cold, snowy, blustery day outside.

GREAT man and a great capture of your extensive book collection! I knew there were a lot of books about the man and events of that time but WOW, I had no idea just how many! I was always interested in the Civil War era as a kid and still am....I have O'Reilly's "Killing Lincoln" but confess I haven't read it yet...soon! :)

@bluemoon I think you'll find the O'Reilly book interesting. I give it a mixed review because he gets some facts wrong, like referring to the oval office when there was no oval office in Lincoln's day. He used as his office the room they now refer to as the Lincoln bedroom. The book reads like a novel though.

Very cool. I like the pops of blue. I bet you know a lot about Lincoln.

@moxy Thanks, Shelley. I have learned a lot about Lincoln, but I know many people who know a vast amount more than I do. :)
