Twilight Monument

With visible buds on the trees and warming temperatures, Spring is not far off. The National Park Service has predicted peak bloom of the cherry blossoms around the tidal basin for the second week of April. I am waiting impatiently. (I forgot to update my camera's clock. The time of this photo was actually 7:23 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time.)
Soooo lovely! Beautifully framed and love the lighting!

@deborahortiz Thanks, Debbie. You would laugh at my workday photo routine lately. It starts with me noticing the time and then running down the hall with my camera, out the front door, down the street to the Mall (a block away), followed by frantic photo taking until I discover something I haven't done yet. :) Sigh of relief.

@khawbecker It's great to know that! Love to go to Dubuque, mostly because it's on the river... so many neat places to see there.

@berndtheo Thanks, Bernd! You'll definitely see cherry blossom photos as soon as they start peaking in early April. I can't wait. They're like watching sustained fireworks.
