Grape Hyacinth by khawbecker

Grape Hyacinth

These little flowers apparently grow wild in Europe and Asia, but not in the U.S. I found these cultivated in the gardens surrounding the Office of Personnel Management. I've learned that the grape hyacinth flowers are edible. I would have sampled them, but I was concerned the guards would not take too kindly to passersby grazing on the local flora.
Beautiful color and contrast!

They really are pretty ...I have them in my garden also. They add so much color to the garden. Lovely capture...I don't know if mine are grape or not.
