Federal Front Lawn by khawbecker

Federal Front Lawn

Despite the colder than normal temperatures, the fountains in D.C. are merrily splashing away. This is a favorite fountain on the front lawn of the Federal Reserve building. In the background is the front lawn of the National Academy of Sciences.

Neighborhood birds view this as a big bird bath. To see it serving that function, see this photo: http://365project.org/khawbecker/past-and-presen/2014-04-17

@carolmw Thanks, Carol. I practiced this photo two days in a row at lunch time. I finally figured out that I had to stand at a distance and zoom in to pull all of the trees in the background forward in the shot.
