Key Bridge to Georgetown by khawbecker

Key Bridge to Georgetown

The Key Bridge in the foreground is the oldest existing bridge that crosses the Potomac River. Built in 1923, it connects Rosslyn in Virginia with Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The stately building in the background is Georgetown University's Healy Hall, which was built in 1877. Today's rainy weather shrouded the scene in mistiness.
Beautifully taken and mystical looking with the mist.

Didn't realize it was that old. I once stayed in the Key Bridge Holiday Inn and they gave me a corner room that was almost all glass. It was wonderful to wake up to that view.

Great composition. At first I thought it was a European city. DC is such a fascinating and beautiful city, architecturally and aesthetically. It's been so many yeas since I was there. Would like to go back one day.

Fabulous composition and a wonderful scene! Love the arch of the bridge...and how it frames part of the image.

Wonderful shot. I can't wait to visit one day. I was in Washington DC in high school. A very long time ago.
