I always gave lots of trouble trying to compose something around a "living" subject. They aways move, shift and I can start all over. Great composition here - as if he was waiting and sitting there waiting for you to get everything in the picture just the way you wanted.
Perfect shot, an instant fav! The pelican is gorgeous, and the focus is excellent. I live in northern California and the Golden Gate is a very special bridge to me.
@anazad511 I think I will continue on a modified basis--using more of the photos from the past year that I didn't get to post and taking new photos as well, but not every day. I love photography and this has been an amazing year because of this project. I love the camaraderie on this site also.
@khawbecker I'm glad you will, since I have really enjoyed the great photography of your area. Really wonderful and interesting places in an excellent manner.
AWESOME!!! Love this composition and fav'd immediately. Good to see you'll continue. I find year two to be a lot less stressful -- don't what I want to do and using photos from weekly photo walks rather than every day, if I choose. Don't know what year 3 will bring...probably even less consistency, but I'd miss the site if I just stopped, as you wrote.
