William and Annie DuPont purchased James Madison's plantation estate, Montpelier, in 1900. They built many outbuildings for the purpose of raising and caring for their thoroughbred horses. This is one of the stables they built in the early 1900s.
I love the angle on this shot and I especially love the green barn. I don't see too many out here. My goal is to look for a green barn this summer you have inspired me.
