Docent Wellington by khawbecker

Docent Wellington

I don't often take people pictures. I was proud of this candid shot of our docent at the Mary Surratt House Museum this afternoon. Docent David Wellington was welcoming others in my tour group as I took this photo. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the events at this house, where John Wilkes Booth and co-conspirator, David Herold, stopped to pick up additional guns and other supplies in their run from authorities after assassinating President Abraham Lincoln.
This is a great shot the lighting is excellent - particularly like the profile view.

Nice view, nice shot overall. Like the framing, too.

Great portrait. You should definitely send it to the museum so he can have a copy.
