@cazann Yes they do nibble at it. At home we have a suet ball that they just adore - I'll post a photo in a day or two. They don't sit still for a second so it's really difficult to get an unblurred photo of them.
I went outdoors tonight and all I could hear was crunching - a parrot was eating the ornamental pears - about the size of a crab-apple, I think they finished off my crab-apples a long time ago.. Like this composition with your focus.
