From top to bottom:
A thriller that was enjoyable and well written
A medical thriller which was an easy read but a bit same same
A domestic fiction that was a bit slow and with unlikeable characters
A general fiction which I enjoyed, covers interesting topics
A crime story that was a great read
A psychological thriller that was a great read
A womens fiction that was a nice read
A crime story that was a great read with lots of twists and turns
Sounds like most of them were good! Just started a new book together - our read aloud together as a family old habit we still have - and it is a crime thriller written in 1935. Good so far but only one chapter in. I shall let you know...
@tinley23 that’s hard to answer this month, I gave four of them four stars on Goodreads ( numbers 1,4,6 and 8). If I’m forced to choose then possibly the Louise Candlish book.
Thanks I read a D. Chamberlain book from your selection last month and will look into a couple of other authors. I will have to follow you on Goodreads!
You had a productive month for reading. Don't waste your time with authors you don't like. Too many books out there and too little time. Sometime I think the popular authors are pushed to put out books and they become sloppy and too much alike.
What a wonderful pile! I think I’d enjoy most of these, except for the Cook and Picoult books - I’ve read a couple, and those are a couple too many. I don’t gel with Picoult’s work, and I find that Robin Cook tends to be formulaic.
