my dad fixes cameras so i've always had access to a range of different cameras, at the moment i have a canon slr as well (film) but it drives me nuts not being able to see if its worked out straight away! film photographers must have had brilliant patience and confidence in their abilities. maybe one day i'll be that good :)
well kathy, i think you're real now!! love these old 35mm kits. sold my last one about 5 years ago....including a huge 4x5 view camera i used to shoot.
I'd love to find that in my cupboard! Theres just something about the look of film that is so beautiful and explains why its been around all these years. Many people think HD is the end of film...I disagree ( :
@kjarn I guarantee it'll work. Film cameras are just clockwork toys that hold, move and expose the film in front of the lens. They're indestructible!
I've got 2 of my 3 old 35-mm fillum SLRs loaded up at the moment, as well as 1 'new' Minolta 35-mm fillum SLR I bought off eBay for $25 that takes my Sony AF lenses. You can always buy adapters and use your Pentax lenses on just about any new camera body you buy (if they're M42 mount then Nikons have a problem with infinity focus and adapters).
Oh, and you can still buy rolls of 100 and 400 ISO fillum at Crazy Clarks, The Warehouse and all those other fine bargain basement shops. As well as proper camera places like B&H Photo as well.
Now, as for scanners...
