Books I read in May by kjarn

Books I read in May

From top to bottom:

A mystery/thriller that was a good read but not amongst his best
A general fiction that I enjoyed
A crime story that was only ok - too receptive and predictable
A chick lit that I enjoyed
They all look fascinating!

I always read your reviews carefully. I am reading a bit more (more than just my book club selection) lately. I just finished the 8th in the series of Harry Hole books by Jo Nesbø. Just got The Madness of Crowds by Louise Penny (#17 in the Inspecter Gamache series). Book club book for June is Alice in Wonderland (theme for the summer library activities). Next month is Through the Looking Glass. It's been a very long time since I've read those books, and perhaps I really haven't.

@randystreat You have mentioned Harry Hole to me before and I have bought the first in the series, just have to get around to reading it. You would be amazed at how many books I have here just waiting ti be read! My book club for June is The One Hundred Years of Lennie and Margot

I know about the stacks. I gave away a bunch of books when I moved and still have enough to fill a bookshelf. Don't give up on Harry - the book seemed a little difficult to get into, but all of a sudden it took off like a spaceship. Your club selection sounds good. I'll be interested in reading your review.

@randystreat I have four large bookshelves, 6 110L boxes and piles everywhere. I won’t be alive long enough to read half my collection. Thanks for the tip about Harry

A wide range. I read all mine as ebooks which does not make a very interesting photo!

An interesting collection. Is that Graham Norton the tv presenter?

I love the way you capture your books and present them. Unfortunately our book club is no more as many have moved from the estate and one passed away.

Another interesting and varied selection. I see another Harlan Coben. Sadly he is an auther I really can't get on with.

Well done to read four in a month. Love your book stack - I’ve converted to Kindle now, especially easy for travel

I didn't know Graham Norton wrote. May get around to reading one of his next decade . . . I love to read but find the world just has to stop until I finish the book. After a few days of not being fed the kids just become unbearable!
