Just so you don't get the impression Legion is the only koala here ;) In fact the numbers of koalas are breaking records every month now. Thank you for thoughtful comments and questions on my photos.
@oldjosh Hi Margaret - there are 8 in the colony at the moment - it does change a little each year, but 4 years ago there were only 5 in the colony and I was lucky to see 1 or 2 on the property on any given day.
now I commonly see 4 or 5 of them on the property on any given day - and there is now enough food to support that
@nobled it's so sad that I'm the odd one out, and yes I'm bucking the trend! I live quite near the horrid Ballina bypass devastation.
And the latest land clearing law debacle was just mind-blowing to think our government can do what they are doing.
This is why I believe private landowners are the only hope.
@fr1da last year Stevie was this tiny little subadult and we have watched her blossum into a big girl and hopefully a joey is in pouch now - so exciting!
