run Jordan run

You can see the collar is definitely off Jordan now, and apologies for the crap quality, but it does actually show the action and feeling of it all.
Jordan actually put on 550 grams during the past few months while wearing that collar, during breeding season and the drought and fire event! I can attest that he is also s-t-r-o-n-g!
George, beside me, is a professional koala catcher/tree climber, and has caught more than 700 koalas for research. He turned to me twice and said - he is really strong, those arms! So the big alpha of my colony impressed him I'd say :)
I will write a blog post when I can with full information on the project, and will update it with what data we can analyse before the battery failed.
Just look at him go

Affirming
...to see how your project is being supported by professionals like George. We all need/want support in so many situations. Good to see 3 key players in the same shot;-)

Jordan has things to do! (time for yummy leaves?) This picture helps me really understand his size, and it looks like you had your hand on his furry body :) I hope you learn good things from the data! And that you get rain and the fires can be put out.

So good to see he is thriving, nice action shot

@kchuk He weighed 8.75 kg. I had my hands on his shoulders to let him out of the bag and he moved so fast my hand went up with him! I sure can't wait to see the data.
Thank you, the fires are weighing on all our hearts all the time
December 3rd, 2019
Strong and fast :)
Good luck with data analysis and I hope that the fires will soon cease

I didn’t realize they were so small

I have another question. Was Jordan under weight? I’m still trying to get my brain around his upper body strength! I imagine his legs would be strong from moving around the trees and holding on to branches. I have never really thought about his shoulders and arms, though! Please stay healthy and safe, Jordan!

I like this little window into the work you do and the people who work with you. 700 koalas! That's VERY impressive! It will be interesting to see what you learn from the data you collected- fascinating work!
