we have a name

I got this gorgeous dragon ID'd. Eastern water dragon (Intellagama lesueurii lesueurii). He did have me a little confused as he is so dark, usually they are more grey. I have to take these photos from a fair distance, as he is obviously watching me closely and is likely to just drop off the branch into the water if I get too close.

They are fabulous critters. I love watching them run, they look so much like miniature dinosaurs :)

he is probably dark because he is out soaking up the sun - our dragon would go black in the sunshine - then lighten when he was warm enough
