peek-a-boo ...

... for the rainbow challenge - the last green day for the month and how lush is everything after just a few inches of rain? That's Racee hiding, but I spyed her even if I couldn't get a clear shot I figured well I needed a green one, so here we are!
Thank you for the awesome comments and questions on my photos

All those tender fresh green shoots - they must all think they've died and gone to heaven!

A great green shot. Am I right in thinking that’s how you often see the koalas, half hidden?

@susiemc you have hit the nail on the head! I spend about an hour each day out there koala spotting and photographing. Firstly finding them is often a challenge in itself. (yesterday I circled through an area 3 times before I found Krissy).

I often have to work hard to get a single great photo and most of what I have are half hidden blobs. Approaching closer can make it even harder to see through to the koala, and of course stresses them and they just climb up higher and deliberately hide themselves. So when I get good shots, I know the work behind each one, but on the screen they probably look like I just walk out and there is a koala sitting right at face height and I snap and upload hahahaha

Then there are the times when I do come riding along on my quad bike and find a koala posing and giving an amazing display and it's just the most awesome experience :)

@vignouse Interestingly the green all around her in this particular image is not food green for a koala! It's a good place to shelter for sure, but she isn't sitting in food this time. The colour is wonderful though :)
@kchuk she has been a bit absent, but it's great to see her hanging around again, and I'm pleased to say she has another wonderful pouch bulge too!
