Blue eyed honeyeater

So many species of honey eaters here - this is one of the larger ones, though they are not a terribly big bird. That flash of blue is always a treat.

@gardencat isn't it funny, I guess because I've known these birds all my life, I've never connected bee honey with them, but always connected nectar with them.
They feed on nectar, but the family is pretty big and very diverse as many of them also feed on insects or seeds.
