now this one is big, a golden orb with a huge full larder in her web. Her web spans 1.5 m across one of my main paths and didn't see her and rode right under her, my eye just glimpsing her as I went under only inches from brushing the web and having this all fall on me. yeah I know I just grossed some of you out, sorry. that's life in the bush!
@robz the orb webs really are the stickiest - and that is less than half the dead bodies she had wrapped up 'ron, so I still shudder to imagine the sticky, her running in panic, and all those other bits in my face lol next day I went riding straight under again and had the same experience - you'd think I'd have remember in advance ...
I’m not usually bothered by spiders, they are pretty interesting but I don’t like the idea of them falling down on me…freaks me out just a little. Glad you avoided that and the sticky.
