"Voetstoots" is a wonderful Afrikaans/Dutch word meaning "as it is" or, as the Oxford English Dictionary says, "without guarantee or warranty; at the buyer's risk; without reservation or qualification."
There's a little vintage/collectibles shop by this name in the same arcade as Potter's Pantry, my little hidden gem featured earlier this month. One can happily spend time browsing there in a nostalgic atmosphere.
