Ripstick Shadow

Had another busy day and little time for photos. Caught this shot of my son on his rip stick (a moveable type skateboard thing) when we were home for half an hour in between driving one child to the pool and his soccer practice. I thought I'd try a panning shot but it was crap. I liked how sharp the shadow was so I cropped it and turned it into the focal point. The ground looks better viewed large, if you have time!

I really like this. Because the shadow hides or perhaps blens in with the wheels, it makde the Ripstick look like it is hovering off the ground.

Very cool shot! It works so well in b&w and should definitely be viewed large. Amazing how that makes a big difference with some shots but not with others - this one doesn't quite have the same impact when seen just as a thumbnail. Well done!
