I bought these cool lens attachments for my iphone a while ago but only recently upgraded to the iphone 5 with the better camera. A Fisheye, Macro and Zoom came in a set.
This is my daughter's eye using using the fisheye attachment. I cropped it quite a bit so I'm not sure the fisheye bend really shows up but I still like how close we got.
oooo this is such an awesome shot! That is cool you got the iPhone attachments! :) very neat! :) Love the eye close up! (And you have very beautiful eyes!! :))
@ozziehoffy Yes, they attach via magnets to the phone. It comes with a little circular metal ring that you put around the phone's camera then the magnetic lens sticks to it. It's really quite ingenious and they are reasonably priced too.
@abirkill@kwind Alexis, I actually beg to differ on that. I used to have an LG phone and the case I had used a magnetic closure on it. Now, I had the phone for a while before getting the case and it was fine. Put the case on and all of a sudden my battery was lucky to last a day. After about a week I took it off and suddenly, my battery was back to how it was before. I tested it again and yep, absolutely made a difference to my phone.
@ozziehoffy Wow, it sounds like you really had a cause-effect thing happening there. I'll have to experiment and see if I notice any changes in my phone. The permanent ring that sticks to the camera is just metal. The magnet is just on the lens and would only be on for short times while using the lens.
this is great. did you need a different set for the iphone 5 or did your old iphone lenses fit? i have an olloclip somewhere for my iphone 4 but have a 5 now..
@mikichelle I never used the camera on my iphone4 because the quality was horrible. The iphone5 is MUCH better but still doens't compared to my good camera.
@psychographer Sorry, I swear I put the link there (I'm losing it)!! I've put it now. Just read the intro and the link should take you to the photo of the lens.
Magnets will not affect the battery life of your phone.
