Another grey and drizzily day here so I continued my quest for colour... a bag of gumballs inside a heart cookie cutter is what I came up with. The shadow around the bottom bugs me and I wish there weren't so many yellow balls but otherwise it brightened my day just a bit.
Thanks for all your comments on the Oyster Shell from a couple of days ago. It made the PP!!
Oh, heavens. . .I've got the giggles now. . .the things we obsess about. Too many yellows! Sorry, I promise not laughing AT you but with you for the craziness we all have about getting it just right! XX
@cameronknowlton I had a white piece of photocopy paper as the base and a desk lamp almost directly over top (the camera was on the tripod above so the light was slightly angled) which eliminated most of the shadow. I'm wondering if I need a different bulb. It had just a regular 60 watt. My parents recently switched to LED ones and they seem so much whiter. What do you think??
@lyno Aren't I crazy... too many yellow!! I'm glad you can relate. I'm a bit of a projectionist but I'm tired so I decided I wasn't going to rearrange.
@jwlynn64 Ha Ha. I'm diabetic so I won't be eating those gumballs. I'll slowly distribute them to the kids or save them for another photo some day down the road.
My sixth grade teacher was not a real nice lady. She had a sassy quote for every occasion. When we'd say "we wished" something, like fewer yellow balls, she'd say " if wishes were horses, we'd ALL ride!" Oh lord. Tha was a long year. Sorry you had so many of the yellow balls! Haha! I think it is just the right amount! :0)
Very inventive and tbh I wouldn't have really noticed the shadow had you not pointed it out. The bright colours of the sweets and cookie cutter are the main focus xx
