Day two of the swim meet and they banned parents from the pool deck (this never happens) so no real photos. I took this in the hotel room during our one free hour. I'm annoyed that it's crooked but I couldn't straighten it out with my iPad. Can you spot my son in the shot??
@frida@ozziehoffy I'm not really sure why they banned the parents from being on deck. It was pretty crowded down there so I think they just wanted to contain us in the upper bleachers. Everyone was getting along before and after the announcement was made! Ha ha! My fellow team moms said they are going to get me a club t-shirt with "official photographer" on it so I can wander the deck without being harassed.
@kwind@ozziehoffy -- My Press credentials are 100% phoney and so far have worked 100% of the time. LOL! At least at local type events. It probably wouldn't get me into a presidentail press conference, backstage at the Oscars or the Olympics. Make it yourself, print it out, have it laminated, put it on a lantern and hang it around your neck. Then go where you want. If you look like you belong nobody questions it...of course it helps if your holding a real camera and not a tiny point and shoot toy. :-p
@cromwell@kwind LOL @ Crom walking in with a camera AND a lantern hanging around his neck... no wonder they let you through, Crom, they're not game to argue with you lol.
Just spent the last 2 weekends observing other "official" photographers down on the pool deck. This Natatorium has a second floor spectator area and always has a no parents on deck, but reading the rules I noted that each team was allowed 2 photographers on deck. Next year I plan to be one of them.
@edie Ha ha. I set the phone against the window ledge and had it in camera mode. I was looking at it with my camera so that's why I'm in the screen. I then took the shot with my camera. You can see Gage's to use in the bottom left because that was the last actual shot I took with the phone. Hope that explains it.
