Diary shot: Our garage doors were installed today. Tomorrow the painters prime the interior walls. Things are moving along. We hope to be moving in no later than mid July.
@amandal It's been 4 months plus a day since we dug the hole.
@maggiemae I'm the interior designer but there's no camping allowed at this point. We have our fifth wheel on the property and if the weather warms up again that type of camping might be in order.
@taffy It does seem relatively fast but still not fast enough. Every night I lay in bed and plan the next day. I wish all the trades worked according to my schedule. I'm a great organizer. There's only been a handful of days throughout the whole four months when it's sat idle.
Wow, that looks amazing. I assume that this is the back of the house that faces inland? And the view is on the other side? It looks beautiful. You should be really proud of yourself and your hubby
@stuckinoz Yes, this is the front road side. The ocean is on the other. We're getting the patio concrete poured shortly and then I'll share that view. There's a small upstairs deck that still needs a railing too.
Just shows how interested people are in your lovely house ...all these comments!!! Beautifully proportioned this is a very stylish house.
I like the dark square on the garage doors...you have made a feature of them ...the lovely greeny grey colour is perfect for a sea side home!
@btorrey Our last property was an acre and almost all of it was landscaped. I used to spend HOURS weeding, trimming and maintaining. This time we are going simple and low maintenance. A couple of garden beds under the windows, otherwise just grass.
Looking great - exciting few months ahead - well worth the wait I expect - 4 months must have whizzed by in a flash. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Looks like a beautifully laid out house. Compliments to the architect. Hope it progresses well from here and you are moving in on schedule. All the very best from here on.
