This is David. He's a swimmer and junior level coach. He's a super role model, with wonderful sportsmanship skills who always radiates positive energy. He's loved by his teammates and their parents. He has swam for years and has had many successes including qualifying for Nationals a couple of times. Tonight marked a milestone...he received his first provincial level medal! David placed third in the 200 breast and between prelims and finals took 4.68 seconds off this best time today; that's a huge amount of time for someone 19 years old. I captured this just moments after he got out of the pool to hugs and high fives from his teammates.
Great timing here! The emotion comes right out of the image and hits you in the heart. Your explanation of his personality is hardly needed - the picture says it all.
