This is Conner and Jasmine! Wonderfully polite, positive children who swim like fish! Conner is one of the best 13 year olds in Canada in almost every category. I seriously believe he'll be in the Olympics one day!! His sister, Jasmine, is only 11 but qualified to swim at this AAA meet with girls a year older. One shot was taken this morning and the other yesterday in the outdoor pool.
THANK YOU very much for putting yesterday's swimming shot of my daughter on the PP. Your praise makes me smile inside and out!!
These are such cool shots. I love that you have got them in exactly the same position. The colours and the water splashing are just perfect and they look great as a diptych. It's a fav for me.
Great shots, love that they are both doing the same stroke and the water movement. Fav. Wow, he's only 13 and still has some growing to do! It has amazed us at how much our son has changed in the last year.
Fantastic shots, Kim! Love the way you stopped their movement and the splashes of water. They look like very serious and talented swimmers. Must be exciting to watch them.
Wondering what lens you use. I may be buying an additional one and it occurred to me while sitting through heats of 200's at the meet today to ask you. Any advice? I've looked at the Nikon and new Tameron 80-200. I currently use the Tameron 18-180. Thanks for any tips you might have.
@sgiesman I have the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 that I use for pool shots. I set it to f2.8 and turn up the ISO and shutter speed. It's the f number that's key and also makes the price increase.
Awesome sport shots, K. You really managed to freeze the action (was it butterfly stroke?) and render the energy of the activity, the perfect timing of synchronized movements...Perfect.
Oh this is just wonderfully done!! I apologize for not being able to keep up with the comments back - you have been so great at commenting on my photos FAVE
Montreal, kind of in my neck of the woods. Enjoy!
