In Canada they let us keep our old passports after they snip the corners and imprint "void" on it. The photo passport expired in 2007 and the bottom one with the Amsterdam stamp is from 2011 when my husband and I went to Amsterdam, Paris and London for our 20th wedding anniversary. Our best trip EVER!! We fell in love with Europe and WILL return at some point.
On my son's recently expired one, they stamped void in it and punched holes through it. Your photo is much better than his. Love this, it gives that well-travelled feeling.
Great pic for portray travel! I love old passports too and have kept those as well. Now it´s not so fun as I travel mainly inside EU, so don´t get those stamps...but it´s always fun to go places like Thailand or Egypt when you get the visums even, yey marks on passport!
@twistergirl We're still a good month away from moving into the house. Our cabinet man is behind schedule unfortunately! Europe will happen one day but not anytime soon.
Oh this is wonderful!! A great bunch of memories!! I can not wait until i get to Europe for the first time!! I told my oldest grandson that my next family vacation was me going alone to hitchhike through Europe! lol..he got a good chuckle out of that!! Im going to look all of my 365 friends up!! :)
we are not allowed to keep our passports but we sure lose those a lot =))) its a shame to return passport where you have a good picture!=))) great, shot!
Really nice, I like the retro look to this and the composition. I miss getting all the stamps on your passport now that they just wave you through, made me feel very windswept and interesting.
How interesting that you are able to smile in your passport photo. We have to keep our faces as emotionless as possible. My husband's latest looks as if he is an escaped convict ;o) xx
I like the vintage feel to this, neat processing. When I got mine sent back to me they didn't snip the corners or anything!! Kind of weird when I look at yours, they must have forgot to do that to mine! Lol
I love my old passports, we get to keep them too. Like the smiley photo - Cathy's most recent photo was rejected because you could see a tiny glimpse of her teeth (her lips weren't completely closed) I said 'aren't English people allowed to have teeth?!' The comment did not go down well with the battleaxe behind the counter.............!!
