The kids and I spent 3 frustrating hours building these chairs today! They were on sale but I swear I would have paid double if they came assembled!! The house is coming along.... SLOWLY! I now have four workable toilets and numerous sinks. No hot water though as the boiler man is working in Alberta and won't be back for two weeks. All my cabinet boxes and countertops are in and would lovely IF I had doors but the cabinet man has gone back to his "other" job and won't be finishing the job for three weeks. Oh, so frustrating!!! On the positive side, the painter is set to start painting tomorrow and says he'll be done in ten days. I've got the carpet, closet organizers, mirrors and final electrical all arranged to start the moment he's done. We have rented our current house so we have to move out by September 1st.
I can see the chairs getting plenty of use with views like this ~ it all sounds so exciting almost being done, but also so frustrating having to wait those few extra weeks ~ fingers crossed you can move in with it completed ~ I have loved watching he progress ~ fascinating
Lovely silhouettes ! I love your chairs !
I wish you a lot of patience and courage for the rest of your works, in 3 weeks almost everything will be behind you !
Bon courage and take advantage of your chairs to relax a little bit between 2 cardboard boxes !
I would become a woman obsessed with one of those chairs at the water's edge. The work will be worth it when you do a series of shots with a single chair as the subject in the water, in the sand....etc.
Oh sorry to hear there's been obsticles but it sounds the house is finishing little by little and what a house it's going to be! I like this shot, the chairs there against that wonderfl sky
I have two of these chairs & I love the way you have set them up here...a perfect spot for them, mine are missing the sea!!! All so exciting for you, cant wait for a tour with your camera!
I would happily build those chairs and ten more if I could look at that view every day (but i do understand the frustration). it is gping to be lovely be 1st Sept!
Those chairs did deserve so much toil....They have an interesting design and allow you to enjoy that stunning view!
Sorry to hear about the delays caused by manpower and workers...You're gonna make it for Sep 1!
this is a really lovely photo... you should print and hang in your new home! sounds ilke the last little bits and pieces are extremely frustrating... sure hope everything comes unstuck soon and you can get things finished and yourselves moved in!
Great shot! Love those kinds of chairs! Would like to get some but the thought of assembling them makes me decide not to. Still have an Ikea cabinet to tackle first!
@northy@pocketmouse I like the wall print idea but I think I'll wait and set up the tripod and get all four of us in it. As I was taking the shot, I had that thought. I also envisioned a cruise ship passing by as we watched.
Great job that you managed to take this calming, relaxing shot!!! Love it. Hang on in there! I can just feel your frustration. In Holland they work in the same manner...
What a stunning view. Hang in there -- I'm sure the future hours you'll spend relaxing in these chairs will supersede the frustrations you're experiencing now!
A fav. Beautiful sky and great composition. The chairs look the part, hope you got to make use of them yourself and put your feet up! All the very best with your house and hope all gets sorted soon.
@yellowdog Good point...we did have a lot of laughs despite the frustration.
