I processed the S#@! out of this. I'm not totally sure if I like it or not but it's from today. I just love the work of @kass and her beautiful flower images. Her work inspired this shot.
Thanks for all your comments and well wishes on yesterday's shot. My son is doing so much better and off the prednisone altogether. I just can't get over how is face/body changed during that steroid phase! I'm so glad we've moved forward!
I agree with Emilie, it doesn't look over processed, just right actually. I love the sharpness of the drops against the red.
I also admire Kass's @kass work, she makes it look effortless.
Fabulous colour and focus! I'm glad I could be an inspiration for you. ;) Actually, I'm not a flower person at all (I kill everything green unfortunately and am a tomboy at heart) - but I took on a project over the last few months which had me focus on a subject I'm not too fond of and really work with it to perfect its form in imagery. So that's why I have so many flower shots and trying new textures/tones/blur etc. It's a great experiment and get you to work outside your typical zone.
I also admire Kass's @kass work, she makes it look effortless.
Glad that your son is doing better. Prednisone is a wonder drug with huge reactions.
