The sun shone after yesterday's storm but during the night it returned with record breaking rain and wind. I snapped this wall of water as it bounced off the log break water. This large log is probably 6 feet above the water and has been there since we've owned the property. It remains tonight. Unfortunately, my other tree from yesterday was swallowed by the sea today. The large log it was attached to is gone too! I suggested to my husband that we remove it and lay it on the grass but he thought it would be okay.... it is not! Oh well, we'll rebuilt! Just so you know our house is perfectly safe. We're back enough that nothing hit us.
That is some kind of choppy water!!! Glad you all are safe!!! Poor trees!!! After all this water you should find some more great drift wood to make new ones!!! FAV!
Now that I think of this, this is a lot like Finland´s weather, we had horrible wind yeaterday too and it was pouring rain. I guess it´s not so unexpected, our coutries are pretty much around same longitude.
Oh darn it Kim.......you must have been cross to see all your hard work spoilt! We have & are having terrible storms here at the moment too....the wind was wild in the night & snow forecast today. You will mend your tree again but better wait til the wind has gone! A chilly job!
Do you mean the 3D tree with the star was taken back by the sea? Blast! Just look at those crazy gulls out there, daring those angry waves to try and nab them. Wishing you continued safety.
looks like a serious storm! The disadvantage of living on the merciless sea. Though will admit you have the best site available.
