Not a great day for me.... my son is showing no signs of improvement despite his second IV infusion of Remicade two days ago. I'm impatient and want it to work now!! Hopefully it will kick in soon! It's so hard watching him in pain!! I needed to escape for a bit so I went for a walk on the beach and took this iPhone shot - notice all the dead sea urchins! I'm a little concerned!! Sorry I haven't commented much lately. I'm just in a bad head space at the moment. Don't feel the need to comment.
Did the doctors say it may take more than one treatment before it starts helping him? Is there nothing they can give him for the pain? I'm so sorry. When our children hurt, we hurt more. Hugs from Texas.
I believe it's far more difficult to see another in pain than to endure it ourselves. More so when it's your child. My heart is with you Kim. I hope things turn around soon for both of you and all the family who bears this with him.
Oh, dear... It is so hard to see a beloved child in pain. I am hoping that further treatments will help, but the waiting is awful. Just concentrate on your family.... that is the most important thing.
Oh how difficult this must be for you - I'm so sorry that this is not working quicker - I'm familiar with Crone's - a young boy I taught battled that for many years before they got a handle on it. Sounds similar. Prayers for all of you.
Nothing like a walk along the beach to raise your spirits. Hope your son's health improves soon, it must be so worrying for you. Take care and lots of hugs xx
a lot of urchin shells
I feel for you Kim - my eldest has been ill the last 2 weeks and it is emotional and draining to watch them suffer. I hope you see improvement in your son quickly.
The purple sea urchins are so cool! As a parent, I know how hard it is to deal with a child's illness. You have to stay strong to support the rest of the troops. Hang in there!
So sorry to hear your son is still not doing so well! As others have said it is always hardest to see your children in pain. Sending best wishes your way!
I like the debris on the beach. Perhaps a big storm at sea. Sorry about your son. Watching someone in pain is so hard. The many emotions that the parent/spouse/child feels are difficult to talk about.
It is really hard to watch our children suffer. We'd gladly bear it all for them! So I know it must be so hard for you but I'm glad you were clear enough to go out and take a walk along with a shot or two. I'll keep praying that the treatments will start to come together and that your son will start to improve real soon. I think this was a good shot for you today. Sometimes our pictures should actually reflect the way we feel and not mask over it.
Not easy when a loved one is unwell and difficult to function as a result. I hope he starts responding well to his treatment and you are able to feel more like yourself again soon. Thoughts with you all.
