Got myself some new shoes... I needed them for my daughter's prom (at least that's what I'm telling myself).
Thank you for your positive vibes yesterday. I'm much happier today! Gage still feels like crap but I realize feeling sorry for ourselves isn't going to change anything so I woke with a new attitude. We've got tons of things to be thankful for in our lives and soon his improved health will be another to add to the list!
On another note... we sold the bus today! My daughter just didn't want to drive it and we thought someone should be enjoying it. An older man named Ziggy (his name totally fits the vehicle) who is dying of cancer bought it. Owning one has been on his bucket list and he's going to drive it all summer. He was giddy with excitement has he drove away which made me so happy!
Medical issues are stressful, hope all is going well and speedily. Keeping a positive outlook (or faking it until you can) is always helpful. Glad that the bus is being used to the full, shame it's not a happier story. At least you made him smile :)
And, I love the shoes! Retail therapy has never "really" hurt anyone. I have about 80 pairs of shoes in my closet and just bought a new pair tonight. Because, they make me happy.
All kinds of good news today - retail therapy was an excellent choice to celebrate the happier lift in mood. Those shoes are pretty neat, too. What a wonderful ending to the tale of the VW camper - on to bring someone a summer of happiness. You've had a good day.
Nice shoes, nothing like retail therapy to lift the spirits.
I do hope your son's symptoms reduce soon. I have diverticulitis so understand just how much pain he must be in. Does a change of diet reduce his symptoms at all.
What a wonderful story about Ziggy. Those are great shoes, so glad you're feeling better today and sending prayers for your son. Hope it won't be too much longer before he's feeling like himself again.
@louannwarren Our town is small - I'm sure I'll see him around lots. I get the feeling he's going to be doing a lot of driving! I posted a few photos and a for sale ad on my personal FB account. I had 20 something friends share it and it turns out we have mutual friends. That's how he found it.
Could be an advert for shoes or a poster in a shoe shop. I am not one for shoes and definitely not ones that have heels. Wishing Gage a speedy recovery.
Love the shoes but could never wear those heals! Love your story - great to know you will still see the bus! Hope Gage soon gets some relief from the pain!
Great shot of those shoes. Wonderful that the bus has gone on to help Ziggy with his bucket list. Hope all goes well for Gage and that is heath improves soon.
Nothing like a new pair of very cool shoes to lift your spirits! You may have heard the saying, "the right shoes can change your life. Just ask Cinderella!" Enjoy your daughter's prom.
glad you are feeling cheerier - hope Gage gets his health sorted - love a bit of retail therapy and how wonderful your bus has gone to somone who will enjoy it :)

I hope Ziggy out lasts the bus. A sad story but it is nice to know that you made him a happy man!
