Seattle Walking Tour #1

For the next few days I'm going to share sights and scenes I saw while walking through downtown Seattle this past weekend. This old building was near the Pioneer Square neighbourhood close to the stadium where we watched the Blue Jays beat the Mariners. I thought the yellow brick was very unique and complimented the blue sky.
I love details like this, so much character in tihis old building

Nicely captured

Nicely framed. I like the reflections in the windows. Quite a few old buildings in the UK are built with yellow bricks, I think some are referred to here as yellow London stock bricks.

The blue sky reflecting in the windows is wonderful and a cloud reflected too! We have some tan bricks here but not that lovely yellow. Quite a nice building.

Great POV - we have buildings with the colour bricks and they are called Arlesey bricks because they used to be made there

I like the blue sky reflected in the windows and the clouds. The brick colour is familiar to me and common in London. Great observational shot - I look forward to seeing more of Seattle.

Yes you're right, the bricks do look good against the sky

How often do we see fire escapes on buildings these days? Only on the old ones.
June 14th, 2017
Love the blue sky/blue reflected windows!
June 14th, 2017
The building itself is fascinating with its color and the old fire escape. But I really love the reflections of clouds and blue sky in the window.

Nice reflection of the sky in the windows, looked like you had a fun trip. Hope Gabe wasn't too exhausted when you got home.

I like the angle, it works well to give a sense of how tall the building is. The windo reflections are cool - and that fire escape is scary!
