This is my 82 year old dad and my hubby removing the snow in front of my parent's house two days ago. We've had a a lot of snow lately but it's been unusually cold so the snow was light and fluffy. This last patch, however, was wet and heavy so we went over to help my parents. The snowplow went through during the night and threw it all up on the sidewalk and made a big mess. My dad's biggest priority was digging a trench through the snow on the actual road to the drain so all the water wouldn't back up in their yard. There's supposed to be another 20cm (8") coming tomorrow night!!
That looks like a big job. Ron in shorts ...LOL I sweep the snow off my van yesterday (heavy wet snow) and woke today with a very stiff and sore left side. Took me a minute to figure how why. Hope your dad didn't over do.
Wet snow is the hardest to shovel for sure - got my turns at that out in Colorado - one winter we were there the roads looks like that for the entire 3 weeks we stayed - finally got one day of semi-clearing and headed out for home!
Hard work for an 82 year old. Glad you went to help. A beautiful shot to show the weather conditions you have at the moment. And a postcard scene for us where it never snows.
That is quite a fall of snow and will take quite a lot of clearing. We have had very little snow here in York in recent winters. In some ways I am pleased about that, but I do miss it's beauty.
Oh no, this looks like a big job. Yes I remember when the snowplough came long and threw all the snow back into the driveway after we'd just cleared it, when we lived in St. John's NFLD.
Oh my is that your hubby out there in shorts? Lol
I would never do that........too chilly for me!
The west is really getting hit with snow this winter!
