An exciting day on the building front... we have walls!! The top view shows the front road entrance (garages are not up yet) and the bottom shows the view from the beach (missing a few sections).
Yay!!! It's so exciting! This part goes really fast and you think, we're really moving...then the interior slows you right down. :) It's so fun though. Enjoy it!
You've been an inspiration! We have a lot under contract, and our house will be listed for sale tomorrow! I'm going to meet with an architect in the next week. I was going to chose a stock plan, but our builder talked me into doing something custom. AAAHHHH! Let the madness begin!
@jodimuli Thanks, my husband and I are the general contractors. The framers are former employees of my husband. He taught them a lot of their skills and they have a similar work ethic. I think being in the business reduces our chances of being ripped off (hopefully).
@kwind SO--our house "sold" on the third day it was listed!!! We will settle the contract on April 26th! I meet with the architect tomorrow to come up with a floor plan. We are moving right along...much faster than I had expected!
@cmc1200 WOW... I'm so excited for you! That was fast!! Do you have some plans picked up that you like?? Take them to the architect so they know what you want. We took 5 plans we liked and then our designer combined to make our house. I, of course, then tweaked them further. What kind of a house are you going to build?? Rancher?? Two storey??
