With the atrocious weather outside it has to be a Blue Peter moment today, here's one I produced earlier. An incredible railway bridge across the Swindon to Gloucester line deep inside a wood. No traffic crosses this steep bridge, but perhaps the odd cattle or wildlife + a mad photographer.
@ellie32 Hi Ellie it's in a very remote valley near my home in Stroud, Gloucester. You can park near but have a very steep climb through a wood before coming to this spot, ok fou you youngsters but was a bit of a puff for a lone one lady pensioner - wink!!
Oh lovely! I like challenging walks :P I'm from Norfolk and it's very flat! A hill or two might be good for me ;) My boyfriend and I are on a mission to visit every county in England, and we haven't been to Gloucestershire yet, so will certainly have to plan this into our trip :)
Big credit to you keeping fit and active! So many people just don't bother nowadays :)
@ellie32 If you go to www.geocaching.com you will find all the information. It doesn't cost anything to be a member and there are millions all over the world. Basically you download from your PC a set of coordinates to your phone or as I do a handheld GPS, off you go to find a cache (can be a box, film pot or an imaginary snail. You sign the log there and enter it back on the website to say you've found it, great fun and exercise. There are millions of these caches.
