Nothing to serious today, but I found this hand capstan in the undergrowth on the banks of the River Severn. Shame it's just been abandon and it was very well secured to the ground, although-wise it might have been cleaned up and position in my garden.
Going back to the dark days when I smoked, perhaps it should have been named "Capstan Full Strength", anyone remember them.

Wonderful detail and texture , btw thank you for your recent comments I am afraid I have got behind with 365 as we have had our daughter and husband plus their cat to stay.
good capture, like old machinery wonder about its use as near the river and fixed firmly. The two wheels look like a belt drive for a power take off from a tractor ?
@philcameron59 I think the two outer wheels are for ropes with the inner being for chains. Looking at the small and large gear combination I would say that they are slid sideways together and the upper rod is therefore hand turned. I know what does a women know - I was a mechanical engineer before I retired.
