I came down a steep footpath looking for a geocache and came across this beautiful old church built on the hillside in a small wood.
The different trees in and around the churchyard was incredible and it was so peaceful and quiet. As you can see the church gate greeted you as you entered a neat graveyard, with steep slopes in places. Oh and I found the geocache hidden in the ivy covered cotswold stone wall on my right hand side.

@philcameron59 In the film post is just a small log book. You sign that you've visited with your geocaching name (Lady Magpie) and when you get home you log your find and add any notes. It's free to register and is great for families with children, dog walkers and mad pensioners like me.
check it: www,geocaching.com read learn and you get a video all about it. There's only 2.2 million of these caches around the world. I bet there is several within 800 yds of your home.
@philcameron59 Just to add Phil - the cache can be as small as a snail shell or as big as a large storage box. The larger ones contain cheap gifts but if you take one you put one in. eg key ring, toy, the kids love the hunt and swop.
Just beautiful, Heather. The framing overhead by the trees and flowers and the gray of the stone walls of the fencing just add to the photo. A Fav from me!
was there treasure hidden in that wall ?
