The Weathered Gardener. by ladymagpie

The Weathered Gardener.

A gentleman I know has a wonderful garden which he loves to look after every day. Since his retirement he goes out in his garden straight after breakfast and doesn't come back in until it turns dark.

Regardless of the weather he is either making his garden just right or he's in his tool shed making something for the house. The weather may have taken it's toll, but he has a love for his plants..

Wonderful portrait! I think he looks like an interesting fellow, those are character lines. One look at him and a person can tell he loves to be outdoors. Well done.

Such a good portrait, Heather. This really reveals the character and looks into the soul of the man. How great that he looks after the garden with such dedication.

@joeyc Thank you Joey, that was my first attempt but I chose someone with character, turned to B & W before making it deeper in colour. You can take a wider shot and crop it to get the portrait.

@libertylady Thanks Alice, it has been hammering down all day in my area and I found out that he still can't stay in doors, he's making a bird table in his workshop.
