The Home Guard. by ladymagpie

The Home Guard.

I once thought of buying a rottweiler to make sure any unwanted visitor couldn't get passed the front door. On reflection I decided that a rottweiler could probably eat me out of house and home.

Than one Christmas my Sister bought me a garden ornament of one of my favourite creatures, the gorgeous hedgehog. So after a a lengthy training course, Horace is now my Home Guard at my front door. Just like the Home Guard during the 2nd world war, you wouldn't want to argue with him.

@gerry @snowy @ziggy77 @claireuk @featherstone Horace says thank you all, he's much cheaper to keep than the rottweiler.

On first glance, he looks very sweet (maybe that's his secret to good home security...the element of surprise...) Lovely capture!

Less expensive than a rottweiler for sure - hope Horace earns his keep

@connie865 Thanks for looking Connie, don't worry about the foxes, Horace will be safe as I'm feeding the foxes so prickly Horace doesn't look tasty.
