Advert at 36,000 Feet. by ladymagpie

Advert at 36,000 Feet.

Something a bit different today. When the sun's out I love to sit on my patio with a cup of Earl Grey Tea. My camera is always on the table next to me and I take a few shots of aircraft on high.

This one was at 36,000 feet and with a steady arm and a good 45x zoom I can get some interesting captures. Now you may wonder how I now it's at 36,000 feet, it's down to this internet site: http://planefinder.net/ where any aircraft in flight is recorded on the world map. Just zoom in to your area and you will see all the information about the aircraft over head. Plane number, height, speed and destination and where it came from. Enjoy.

Nice capture - thanks for the info too!

@virtualbrownie Yes thanks for your comment, yes I tracked it across the sky with several attempts to get it in shot.

Train spotters wear Anoraks so ... do plane spotters on the patio wear a bikini
unusual shot Heather

@philcameron59 Thanks for looking, yes Phil a bikini would be great, unfortunately I share a courtyard with a couple of neighbours and they would probably have heart attacks.

That is a great website, Heather. In my area, there are fleets of planes overhead. It's great to see the airline affiliation.

@khawbecker Glad you like it, but will you become an aircraft spotter.
