Catch of the Day. by ladymagpie

Catch of the Day.

The wind and cold has really come in with snow on the high ground, so this was a quick find at a local church. I was fascinated in the gateway into the churchyard and realised that it was contemporary with the age of the church.

So today I give you my "Catch of the Day", a 400 year old gate catch, set in a Cotswold stone wall. Just imagine how many people have past through this gate over the years, baptisms, marriages and funerals, the stories that could be told.

Wish I had weathered as good as this although my body may be just as rusty.
