My Hosta leaf made it to the pp page, that was a surprise so thank you all so much for the comments and FAV's
I'm beginning to master taking pictures from the comfort of my settee, my first the other day was the Blue Tit, but I think these house Sparrows are beginning to take over.
I must admit I zoomed in a bit to far this time, but you have to be quick as they don't hang around for there photographs to be taken. I have moved the different feeders around on the metal tree, so know I have the seed container in view. I'm looking forward to new birds and won't be happy until I have an eagle or a vulture, dreaming again.
Excellent shot, I love that you captured his full mouth! I have a hummingbird feeder outside of my office window, from which I have taken several shots. It's a good idea to rotate feeders for your viewing, I will have to give that a try :)
OK the contest is on... let's see who captures an eagle or vulture in our own backyard first. I shall seek a comfy settee and set up the tripod... sure I will ;-)
LOL most of my Bird pics are from the comfy deck chair! And I might just get that Eagle shot as they fly over my house after hunting at Lake Erie, Once saw one with a fish bigger than the bird!! great Sparrow shot( wish they would have all stayed your side of the ocean) they often push out Goldfinches!!
