A View around the Village. No. 18

It's about time I did another view around my village and this cottage is only 50 yards from my home but on the other side of the road.

I took the original picture on the left last October when a very old gentleman passed away and the property was put on the market. It was very small, run down and the garden overgrown as the gentleman kept himself to himself and shrugged any offers of help.

Now 12 months later a builder has transport the old property into a wonderful large cottage. A double extension has been built, roof-line of the old part altered and rooms added to the roof. A lovely old Cotswold stone wall was found under the front bushes and a large garden around the building exposed.

Still a bit of outside paintwork to be finished and a double garage to be built to the left of the house. A wonderful new family home in my village rises for a once little hovel, hope you like it especially studied with the dark surround.
Love your village tour shots. Fav
