The little Old Chapel with a surprise. by ladymagpie

The little Old Chapel with a surprise.

I took this picture the other day as I remembered seeing this old chapel in my childhood, what I didn't realise was the big surprise I got when I was looking up the history to share with you on 365.

The Baptist Chapel was built in 1871 and served a very small farming village. I had seen it on my bicycle rides in the 50's and this frontage was all I was looking for. What a shock I had when I found an advert for the property on the internet and as you will see from this link it's had an incredible conversion back in the 1980's. Look at all the pictures in this link:

It was on sale for £1,000,000 ($1,442,000) do you fancy it.

Thanks for all you comments and FAV's. appreciated.
Wow that is some craft room and so tidy! Wonder if cars included in price....

Super capture & interesting information. If I had a million to spare I'd love to buy it, particularly like the first floor conservatory !

The garden is good, and the glass house, but the, interior is too formal for me - and I don't fancy living in a ex-church! Interesting, thank you.

Lovely shot and interesting link too. Not too sure I would fancy it as a home though, just a bit too 'churchy' for me. Not so sure I would have put the 'his and hers rollers' in the mix either. Sounds as though they are saying 'if you can't afford a Rolls Royce don't bother applying.
