Lovely Lofty Lupins

Another corner of my friends garden and the Lupins were just about to finish their flowery period, so I had to capture the beautiful scene in this border before they died off.

The bees were busy as well collecting the nectar while they could, my friend hasn't got a bee hive so I wonder how far they travel, perhaps they should put one in for the honey.

I love lupins & they look magnificent here. I love how they give height & interest to a garden. Whenever I have lupins they get greenfly but this year I have about four spikes & not a greenfly on them...on the roses yes but not on the lupins! I have sprayed them today just in case!
